Borussia Dortmund have signed Moroccan midfielder Fennec Bensebaini from Valencia on a four-year deal, the Bundesliga club announced on Wednesday.
The 22-year-old is expected to make his debut for the club in their first match of the season against Schalke on Saturday.
Bensebaini has been part of the Valencia youth system since he was just eight years old and made his senior debut for the club in January 2016.
He made 45 appearances for Valencia last season, scoring three goals and providing six assists.
Bensebaini will be hoping to continue his impressive form at Dortmund, where he will be joined by former Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani.
Dortmund boss Lucien Favre said: "Fennec is a player with great potential and I am confident that he will contribute greatly to our team."
Bensebaini's signing comes after Dortmund lost key players such as Marco Reus and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang during the transfer window.
But the club remain determined to compete for the Bundesliga title and Champions League qualification this season.
