Wanda Motta has confirmed that he will transfer to English Premier League club Manchester United for £25 million, according to reports from Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Motta is currently on loan at AS Monaco and the move would see him join the French side in January.
The report states that the move could also lead to the release of other players from the club who have not been used regularly this season.
Motta has been linked with a move to several top European clubs including Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona, but it remains to be seen whether or not he can find a suitable place on the United bench.
However, Motta's arrival could bring much-needed experience and knowledge to Manchester United, as they look to rebuild their squad following the departure of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
